Someone who looks like Xiang Liu

Chapter 17: Swimming Upstream Seeking You, The Road is Long and Hard is the last chapter of Lost You Forever Book 1.

Origin of the Chapter's Title[]

The title of the chapter, 溯洄从之,道阻且长 (sù huí cóng zhī , dào zǔ qiě zhǎng) is the continuation of Book 1 Chapter 12's poetry title.

The title comes from ode #129 The Reeds and Rushes, one of the most popular pieces in Classic of Poetry (Shi Jing), which is also known as Book of Songs and said to be compiled by Confucius.

溯洄从之,道阻且长 can be translated as:

I went up the river to look for him,

But the way was difficult and long.

Other translations can be found here.

OcKoala translated the title as Swimming Upstream Seeking You, The Road is Long and Hard.

The title could refer to the fact that Zhuan Xu and Xiao Yao are leaving Xuan Yuan Mountain to the Middle Plains, which will be a hard journey for both: Zhuan Xu gathering support from the Middle Plains, Xiao Yao waiting for Jing and their vow.

Chapter 12 and 17's titles together can be read as:

He whom I love

Must be somewhere along this stream.

I went up the river to look for him,

But the way was difficult and long.
